High Performance Computing

Our High-Performance Computing Group brings together expertise in the modeling of molecular and solid systems with state-of-the-art computational facilities.

NINT’s computing centre includes a high-speed interconnected computing cluster incorporating 1140 CPU cores with 32 nodes of general purpose graphical processor units.

Software is available for modeling systems using quantum mechanics, molecular mechanics and finite element techniques. These approaches can be used for simulations of systems ranging from molecules to materials.

The facility is managed by Dr. Gino DiLabio, who has expertise in many areas of theoretical chemistry and physics. Dr. DiLabio is able to provide internal and external clients with advice on how computational modeling can add value to industrial research and development.
